So I want to start off by saying I know this thread should probably be posted elsewhere but I like the community here better than other forums.

So basically: I've recently modded an old psp my friend gifted me, of course I play my games on a memory stick since he tore out the UMD metal bracket that's supposed to keep the UMD disc in place but that doesn't matter to me since I don't have any UMDs myself.
The thing is the UMD reader would make this terrible squeaking sound, I disabled the UMD drive inside the Ark-4 custom firmware settings but recently the drive has been running everytime I turn on/put my PSP out of sleep mode even though I disabled the UMD drive inside custom firmware settings, this has started happening recently and I haven't had problems with this before.

I would appreciate any kind of advice/help ::yay
