AH NINJA GAIDEN 4!!

(Obviously you can't judge anything from a trailer but looks/feels slightly different, but I'm also open to a bit of change :ninja:)
yea I noticed it to some changes but I’m open if they add to the game and not Take away but Ninja Gaiden 2 looks fucking amazing

I think the setting is pretty dope & if the entire thing takes place in Neo-Tokyo in one night that would be great. Kinda like the first game, you know? There's not much to go on but combat feels slightly platinum games.

To me only the third game felt somewhat futuristic because of the new technology they used to create those fiends. However, I wouldn't consider Ninja Gaiden futuristic. In the first game, you're in a city with European-like architecture. There were robots as well, but that's because they had more advanced military technology. Yes, it had some futuristic elements, but it was nothing like NG4, which feels like a completely different game to me. I hope it's good, though.

I agree but I’m not afraid of change aslong as it’s ninja Gaiden and its rampage with a good story they could make as futuristic as they want
Sometimes, when they change a series too much, it feels weird to me. Sure, NG3 wasn't the same either, but I loved it. Only NG and NG2 (X360) felt like they were part of a single franchise, even though NG2 probably needed more time to be more polished and refined.

And we're getting a 2D NG. What a great year to be a Ninja Gaiden fan!

Huh, I kinda like it when Ninja Gaiden embraces slightly more modern/futuristic stuff. NG2 Sky City Tokyo comes to mind, & despite being the first stage I find it's still one of the cooler set pieces of the series.

And we still haven't seen Ryu handle some futuristic weaponry yet! Here's to my original dream of Ryu wielding lightsaber nunchucks.

My neighbor and I, who are fans of the series, find NG4 way too futuristic. Did you enjoy the trailer?
I feel like the Modern Saga has always been big into more futuristic stuff. Stuff like Sky City Tokyo in 2 or the technologically advanced blimp in Black. Don't really have to mention 3 because that was all it was basically. But I also think there will be more to that. We have 2 main characters in the game. I feel like the Yakumo dude will be more into that and Ryu will probably start out in the village.

I see your point; I simply don't consider the series that futuristic. Also, from what I know, NG shares the same timeline as DOA.
Dead or Alive is set in a world similar to our present day, but with an advanced understanding and development in science, where organizations can gain the technology for genetic experiments, and create high-tech weaponry and transport. However, traditional and archaic ways of life - such as the ways of the shinobi - are still present in certain places of the world.

Either way, I hope they make a great game!

So, I couldn't get it yesterday because I bought something prior and had to wait for the refund to come in. But I'm on Chapter 10 of NG2 Black, and man is it awesome. There are a lot of OG2 guys that hate it for not being 1:1 that game but man is it fun as shit. I feel like the AI are a lot smarter too, like they've been doing things that I've never seen them do before. I've went through OG2 and Sigma 2 on every difficulty and I'm getting caught by shit that never happened before. I'm on Mentor difficulty right now and I'm gonna finish the rest but I couldn't be happier. The memories from back in 2009 when my mom's boyfriend at the time came home with Sigma 2 are flooding back.

Yeah that's really cool but seeing Platinum's name there kinda makes worried, the studio has been on a downward spiral as of late (well actually it's been like the for the past 10 years) and even Kamiya left; I really hope they don't screw this one up

yep, that's me; I'm just disappointed that the original will never see a re-release on pc, deep down I knew It was just UE5 Sigma 2 when I first saw that trailer. Eventually, Xenia will be good enough I guess.

I haven't had a chance to get Black 2 yet. Do Ninja Trials still make you coop with a second character, or can you run them solo now? I'm searching online but not really getting a straight answer. I kinda prefer flying solo in character action games.
