Have you tried panettone before?

I'd see a thing of panettone in the stores almost every December but never got one until last year. I've tried it and didn't like how it tasted. Has anyone else ever tried panettone before and if you have tried it at least once, what did you think of it? Did you like or dislike it and how it tastes?​

Some are quite dry, I prefer the more wet recipes.
I'm more used to the "local variation" called Pan de Pascua.

We eat it a lot here in Peru!
My favorite is the one we call "Chocoton", were instead of those dried fruit jelly things, it's got chocolate chips!
