I just got it during the Steam sale a couple of weeks ago. It's decent, but I want to hear what you guys think!

I've played it before. It is just an emulated port of the SuperFamicom port. It includes the manual and some extra art which is nice. Honestly, unless you are a big Clock Tower nerd, you will not enjoy it. It really doesn't add anything to the game.

Plus the game has anime box art that doesn't match the in game art at all. I suppose this is just a continuation of Limited Run Games weird need to get the weeaboo market like they did with Plumbers Don't Wear Ties.

I wish Plumbers dont wear ties looked like that, then i can give the game a second chance

It's disappointing that it's the SFC version and not the PSX version. I wonder why they went with that version considering the PSX version has some QoL changes the original didn't.

You could play the original (SFC Version) or Rewind, which shared elements with The First Fear (the PSX version). I personally like the sound design of the original version, but the PSX version had more content

I actually really liked the original version of Clock Tower on SFC/SNES. I have never tried the one on PSX so I will have to look into that.

A friend gifted me a fan translated version of the SFC/SNES game in English years ago. Then in a stroke of luck, another friend gifted me the Switch re-release this last year!

I want to play the Switch one but have yet to have time to sit down and go through it. If the newer version is anything like the original it will surely be a fun time. (IF you are a fan of the older point and click style of genre of course).

I think by modern standards the Clock Tower games get a bad rep and "don't hold up." This is likely due to the expectations many players have with all the quality of life improvements and general accessibility updates many games get over the course of their lives (including re-re-re-releases with updated controls, better UI interfaces, more tutorials etc). When it comes to older horror games like Clock Tower I may well just have rose-tinted glasses!

As far as I know, it's just a port with some improvements. In that case, I think it still worth it. I have been playing the psx versión on psp for years and as a surival horror lover, I can say it's all a classic. Also, it's a point and click game, this kind of gameplay doesn't age bad, cause it's always the same.
