There may be a thread about this already. I'm basically talking about ARPG's, CRPG's, Dungeon Crawlers that can be emulated today.

I'll add some that I have found:

Diablo (No issue, Duckstation)
Baldur's Gate (Dark Alliance 1&2 , possibly unplayable due to Blizzard fires)
Champions of Norrath & Champions: Return ( Possibly unplayable in emulation due to Blizzard fires)
Fallout: Brotherhood of the blade. ( Seemed to run fine on certain settings, changed settings for another game, now not so good)
Record of Lodoss War ( Runs great on Flycast)
Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of the Ancient Arts ( No issue, Drastic)
Dungeon Siege : Throne of Agony (No Issue, PPSSPP)
Both Untold Legends games (No Issue, PPSSPP)

Any games similar to these that emulate well? Maybe someone has figured out the Blizzard fire problem fix. Regarding the Dark Cloud games, I hate timers. I don't need to be sweating, but for the young folk, it might be a thrill. Enjoyed the gameplay up to that point.

Any additions? I probably killed the thread already because very few more probably exist.

This genre ain't my thing so IDK much about them, and IDK much if you actually asking about emulation on smartphone but IDK you may wanna check these games:

I'm disappointed that they are like Japanese Diablo but I guess one's trash is someone else's treasure lolol.

Darkstone (PS1)
Technomage - Return to Eternity (PS1)
The Bard's Tale (PS2)
X-Men Legends (PS2 / GC)
X-Men Legends II (PSP / PS2 / GC)

Darkstone emulates well. Not sure about Technomage but I assume it does. It's just PS1 after all.
The Bard's Tale is another Snowblind Engine game so it needs a fast CPU to run at full speed.
X-Men Legends I & II work good on Dolphin. Not sure about PCSX2.

Cheers, yeah, I tried both those games recently and didn't take to them but would've added them if they weren't so forgettable (Only played early stages of both so..). The majority of hack and slash games are trash, in fairness, but if you find a good one, it's a handy mindless escape for a while. I played Dark Alliance 1, full game on xbox 360, I think. It was well done and challenging, so you do have to put a bit of effort and thinking into the equipment/stats/etc...

Darkstone, thanks, I forgot about that. I had a go off of it before but I think the camera issues pissed me off enough to uninstall it, for space for other games. I will have another crack off of it. Probably had too much choice of games at the time.
The Bard's Tale I played on PC years ago. Really enjoyed the gameplay and humour. Think I probably hit a tricky bit midgame and started playing Lands of Lore. Will have another crack off of it.
Technomage, never heard of it, will check it out, cheers.
Tried the first XMen Legends and didn't really like it. Prefer the organic build up of characters and there was too much choice of swapping charcters for my liking. I see the appeal, though.
Cheers for the recommendations.

+1 on this, Soma Bringer is pretty damn fun.

I'd add Phantasy Star Portable (and 2/2 Infinity). Don't let that over the shoulder camera fool you: that game is a Diablo. I've only tried Infinity but it runs great with the 60fps and second analog stick hacks.

Cheers to both of you. All 3 games look good for escapism, lol. That's why we play these type games, I think. Escape reality with what we would like to be doing to the reality of things, as they are.
There should be a game series called "Escapism from Fate" or "Escapism from potential Destiny".

Champions of Norath and the sequel champions return to arms
