Who else has played Habbo Hotel or still does? I practically grew up playing this game and it was a great escape route for me when I was younger and I made a lot of friends, although unfortunately I lost touch with all of them. The game was big around 2012-2016, especially in Brazil, with almost 50,000 daily players, mainly teenagers.
But the game got progressively worse and lost users to other online games/social networks.
I still think the game's group system is cool; some players used it to create armies or police forces; “Swedish Army”, “Civil Police”, with different ranks and positions. I especially liked the roleplaying community and exploring the rooms built by other players and the themed games.

I played it quite a bit with a friend back in maybe 2005-2006?
Funny to see that it was still going so long after

i can't remember what years but i played only to keep the pool closed and my only other memory is players referring to furniture as furni.

I remember this lexicon, what a world we live in.

Habbo hotel?
*Lights a cigarette*
Thats a name I havent heard in a while

The amount of money I beg to my parents to get just silly things... it was truly an expensive game.

damn habbo hotel huh ... can be considered a retro game now T_T

idk if i've mentioned this on this forum before, but my brother jokingly joined a habbo cult XD it was weird. also we were like probably 8 or something back then idk

A lady in real life even decided to make herself a victim because of the meme and of course she was in charge of the Home Owners Assocation. Goddamn those were funny days.

I signed up to the site when I was 10 (maybe it was an alternative version, I remember it was called iHabbol, but whatever), obviously knowing full well that I shouldn't be talking to people I didn't know. I played it with my schoolmates, both in elementary and middle school, and we talked about nothing else except events and also the opportunity to be part of the moderator staff etc... The quizzes, the soccer games, the chill between a login and an episode of Total Drama, all on a computer with Windows 7 and without the possibility of running games other than... Solitaire. Or Flash games.

At a certain point I stopped connecting, only to find out that the site closed some time ago. And that today, to play Habbo, it's not like you can do much with it since there aren't the same number of people as there used to be, nor can you buy furniture etc. without spending grandma's pension money. I also remember things like Bobba and Noct World.

I used to when I was a teenager (forever ago), peak of Covid I tried to go back to that just for the memories but my biggest fear was meeting with people at the same age I was when I registered my first account lmao... Have no clue if that's still up.
