I am (attempting to) work on a mod for Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, a video game that, despite being very well known, has only a couple of minor modifications, but nothing like Gran Turismo 2 A-Spec (Mod). I wasn't looking to create something of that calibre either, but rather a more interesting version for those trying it for the first time. The idea would be to change the original experience, which is so tedious and so dependent on repetition to advance. The main thing for now would be to update the rewards for races and championships (that would also include prize cars), recover hidden cars (only accessible through cheats) and keep many things from the original, but I would not rule out changing or adding some ‘new’ championships or vehicles, all this taking into account the clear limitations of the game, whether due to its context, technology or artistic intention.
I started this with a friend who was studying programming, but in the end, due to work and study commitments, we were never able to do anything more than plan some basic changes (some of which I have already mentioned, such as the cash rewards and reward cars). I would like to know if anyone is interested in collaborating with me on this project. I speak Spanish and English at an intermediate level. Programming is not my thing; I prefer research and information gathering (in this case, about motorsports and cars in general). I have no problem testing the game for bugs or glitches, I use Photoshop and edit videos for a friend (but I wouldn't be able to do anything else).
If you are interested in contributing to this project in any way, please leave a username or profile so we can talk.
