Hey everyone,
Lately I've been trying to find some actually interesting mobile games. Not the usual stuff full of ads or endless clickers. It doesn't have to be new or fancy. Just something that feels like someone actually cared when making it.
(Android preferred).
Would love to hear your favourites. 👾

While these are ports of console and PC games, I really enjoyed "Retro City Rampage" and "Unreal Life". The former is essentially GTA, but with nice pixel art and a ton of 80s pop culture references.

The latter is a nice story driven puzzle adventure game with nice pixel art and an atmospheric soundtrack.

Let's clarify the exact meaning of a "good" game for mobile: no online game.

Being said that, I will skip games that you can play on consoles for obvious reasons.

You have a few of games worth playing, such as Inotia series, Ex Astris or Witch Spring series as well.

But this was already asked 4 months ago. Couldn't you search first if somebody did ask for this before opening a new thread? maybe it would have enough info already.

The monument valley series along with Lara croft go were my favorite puzzle games on my phone. For action Death's door and Streets of rage 4 were excellent too.

Aka to blue, riptide gp renegade, vampire survivors, the professor Layton games if you understand Japanese then knights in the nightmare

If you are ok with using Java emulator like J2ME Loader or something you may play Cyberpunk: The Arasaka's Plot. And yes it's the first video game of Cyberpunk series before Cyberpunk 2077 and TBH it's a very cool game IMO. Then you may explore some old Java games like Gravity Defied, Gangstar series, Saints Row games and XIII.

Zen Pinball World, the original tables are kind of crap, but the Williams/Midway ones are still amazing after all these years. The game is free to play and there are ads, but they're not aggressive and are just mainly before you fully load a table

Shattered pixel dungeon and Mindustry.
A rogue like and a RTS sandbox tower defense and factory manager
No ads, no micro transactions, no booster pack/pass and you can play offline.
The learning curve is a bit steep but once you get the hang of it it can become addictive.

Thank you guys, seriously. I didn’t expect so many great replies. Gonna be busy trying all these out.
