PSP Gonna get a new memory card.

At the end of this month my mom will order a new battey and a 1Tb memory card for my psp.
But i don't know if i need to do the jailbreak again or just passing the files is enough, or another problem i don't know.
I believe you mean 1TB microsd card. Go quickly and tell your mom do not buy it, you will have problems with it in your PSP. The filesystem of the console has troubles with cards that are higher than 128GB, I tell you by experience.

Just get a 128GB card and enjoy it, you can put many games, more than you are going to need in a long time.

EDIT: I corrected my info, just checked my PSP and it is a 128GB microsd. Now I remember why, I had issues with a 256GB card I bought long time ago and returned it, and got a 128GB one. It was Amazon, so I could return it without issues.

I second this, the PSP can't read over 128GB, my jailbroken PSP also has a 128GB microsd, if you get a microsd with higher storage space the PSP will act like there isn't a memory card inserted.

Yes anything over 128GB is too big.
would also like to add that there are even a few games that don't work on cards over 1-2GB, so having a smaller one on hand for those is a good idea.
Alpha 3 Max is one of them:
"The game came out before the advent of sticks capable of storing over 1 gig of memory and is unable to recognize memory sticks 1 gig and larger. This issue is prevalent in some older PSP games and not limited to just Street Fighter."

Yeah, exactly. Only in rare cases the cards are detected but they work slower than normal, for some reason.

Only a few games have this issue, but the trick gets fixed 99% of the time by either having less than 1 or 2GB of space in the microsd or just save into a small microsd then move the savegame to the big microsd. the game will work just fine from that point.

I believe there is no way to patch that on the games, so we will have to live with it :(

I have an SD card bigger than 128 in mine and it works. Although it was a pain finding the info to get it to work and I think I got lucky with my hardware. I followed this post on it: https://old.reddit.com/r/PSP/commen...a_sd_card_of_128gb_or_more/mr8eaag/?context=3

I have 512 gb in my Vita and it includes many psp games as well, but it's not full and I feel like an hoarder because I don't know how I'll be able to play all those titles! Just follow the other people advice, 1 tb is too much for a psp (and someone said it won't work, so it will be useless), on mine I think I had 64 or 128, and there were many many games already!

About transferring files, if I'm not mistaken I only copied and pasted when changed a memory card in the psp, but please ask around to be sure.

Yeah, the cluster size is one of the things to "trick" the filesystem to get bigger partitions, but that entails to lose some space and getting slower transfer speeds. But in my case, I got a Kioxia 256GB microsd and it didn't work. It's a hit and miss, not a rule, so the OP better get a 128GB to make sure it will work. People lived with 16GB & 32GB memory stick pro duo without issues long ago, so it will be ok :)
