Anime Goku: Midnight Eye

Brief two episode OVA series about a guy with the same abilities as the dude from Watch Dogs. IE can hack anything and everything in a Cyberpunk world. First episode is quite a bit better than the second, but it's a great watch if you like hardcore 1980's anime with over the top dubs.

Did this ever get a DVD release in the west? I remember us carrying a super bootleg version, but we never sold it because people put it back after they'd ask me if this was part of Dragon Ball and I said no.

No idea, but the version I found online is at DVD quality. 640/720 quality.

Just finished re-watching it from years back. Yeah, it's still really good. Never read the manga, but it's probably of comparable quality. I like Cyber City Oeda, Ninja Scroll, and a few of the other guy's projects quite a bit more. But, this is still a good watch.

Yes, it did. You can still buy the DVD through Amazon, as Manga Entertainment did the publishing.

I consider Midnight Eye good, but I still prefer Ninja Scroll and Cyber City: Odeo 808.
