I believe the current scientific consensus on this is that we don’t, which leads into a lot of theory on colour-blindness. My “green” probably isn’t yours, and vice versa.Ok hear me out
How do we know we all see the same colors? What if everyone perceives color differently, and everyone's favorite color is just the same color?
How do we know? We can't possibly.
How do we know we all see the same colors?
I REFUSE to accept this, I literally cannot comprehend it!!!I believe the current scientific consensus on this is that we don’t, which leads into a lot of theory on colour-blindness. My “green” probably isn’t yours, and vice versa.
Well, consider it this way: Despite having a brain like every other human (except Undertale fans), you don't have exactly the same thoughts as everyone else, do you? You have the capacity to interpret and execute thought, but your unique genetic structure makes your ideas individual to you alone. Maybe it's the same for colour perception, which is why some of us prefer certain colours over others and so on.I literally cannot comprehend it!!!
Oh yeah, I'm just being hyperbolic. But it really is a hard concept for me to grasp, somehow. Maybe cause I work with colors a lot? I dunno, really.Well, consider it this way: Despite having a brain like every other human (except Undertale fans), you don't have exactly the same thoughts as everyone else, do you? Or maybe it isn't! The science isn't there yet, so we can only speculate for now. If they did announce that we all definitively interpreted colour differently, though, I'd believe 'em.
I'm not a furry but my fursona is absolutely an angler fishHMO: Deep-sea mermaids that are part anglerfish would be kinda hot![]()
