The hype surrounding the first game convinced me to give it a shot a while ago and I just don't get it.
It's a competent Ubisoft game as published by Sony, but that's about it. If you like Assassin's Creed I'm sure it's a good time for you - good visuals, decent (if unoriginal) combat, the works - but people talk about these games as though they're these artistic masterpieces and I just don't see it.
Oh and the fact that they call their black-and-white screen filter "Kurosawa mode" genuinely makes me cringe.
Samurai fetish popcorn entertainment on its own does not equate to Hidden Fortress, no matter how many shots from his movies they copy.
