The year is 2025 video games made a lot of progress we reached the point where you can do anything and be anyone in the digital world. We started from gaming consoles with cassettes that needed to be blown on so the game can run properly, to the VR online fantasy universe that you can choose and be whatever you like and make choices you can't in Real Life. Please let me take it from the start, the first memory I faintly remember my self playing games was on my cousins ATARI i cant remember the game i was a small child around 5-6 years old. We where at the living room of her house, she was older than me by four years. I have noticed under the TV table this console that had wooden patterns on it with the Joysticks all rumbled up in the cables, i stuck there in front of the OLD TV and i asked her if we can play with it.
She said yes of course and she called her older brother to set it up in the TV, it was a nice summer day schools were closed it was around early 90's then the magic started happening, yes i got my hands on it the game was a type like shooting aliens much like Galaxian i cant really tell i was too young to know titles or more info. That day was my introduction to the magic of video games. The years were passing so fast and then a Christmas eve under the Tree was another milestone in my life in gaming there was a box rapped in present paper. The next day with barely any sleep without even going in the toilet i runed downstairs in my pajamas as fast a i could i opened it and the Nintendo 64 console gem was unveiled in front of my innocent eyes.
I was so happy that day like i have achieved something important, like I won a ticket to fun. The first game, my game that i owned was Super Mario 64 some of my friends also had it. Then we started exchanging games, switching rumble packs we where in it, we even began collecting magazines and discovered gaming channels in the Satellite DVB one i will never forget was the Italian origin G@ME Network, that was before YouTube, Stream Gamers and fast online gaming on the WEB. Just imagine the Impact that had on my life.
My Next Console was a PSX this where i knew i was a gamer i had so many titles i cant even stored them properly in my room. Some of them where Ridge Racer, Tekken, Crash, Gran Turismo, Oddworld, Tomb Raider, Spiderman and sort of anything that was popular in the TV commercials. That was the peak of humanity in disk gaming i will never forget that we got them in our bags and exchanging them in school, nostalgic memories of another time.
After all that i owned a PS2 Slim that i think this is still the best console ever created, games in Playstation 2 forged me in to becoming a fan of certain gaming companies and that the unpopular games are even cooler.
Later on i got a PC that i spend a lot of money in it, the specs where normal at the time but i remember i pushed in the graphics card. I think about it now and it seems logical after all the gaming experiences in my childhood, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT with a huge box i was flexing it to my friends because somehow i managed to gather all the money for the price, it was around 400 dollars more or less, huge amount at that time.
In the epilogue let me finish this thread i don't want it to be much longer, videogames helped me through difficult times in my life with my family, persons that i loved so much that left because that's life. Gaming was an entertaining exit of all the troubles, a passage to a magical digital world that gave me fun times to me and my friends. I really don't know how my life would be then without all of this. Now i usually play on my PC and i emulate old games i never had the chance to play but i still own some consoles as mementos in my collection not all but the few that i got some precious milestones in my life like meeting my girlfriend and many more. It's 2025 i got in boxes these consoles i will never sell a Nintendo Gamecube, a PSP, a PS2 slim and my first N64 that still works. Thank you for reading my thread i really wish to enter the Writers Guild so i can write Reviews on my many gaming experiences on consoles and gaming Titles of course, that i have spend a lot of time and loved them all.
