I never got past creature stage on Spore because I found it kinda boring and I never knew how to make a creature that looked good (cell stage was nice, though). My brother managed to beat Spore once. As for E.V.O., I played Search for Eden and had a lot of fun. Certain bosses are difficult to beat. I ended up getting in trouble after a certain point because I chose a specific evolution that wasn't as powerful, and there was no way of going back. I still managed to finish the game, though.
