What are some games that everyone seems to hate and that very vocally and describe as garbage where you just think hold on a minute that game is actually good or fine.
So pretty much a Game you consider Good or Fine at least that gets a lot of unjustified hate in you Opinion.

For me it would be and don't hang me for it.
Tales of Zestiria (It gets a lot of hate but I liked it somewhat and I did find it enjoyable enough)
And Duke Nukem Forever (my First Duke Nukem Game so I may be a little bit biased about it,but it was Good enough)

(Once again I know I sound like a broken record with this lol but a thread like this shows up like once a month)

I personally like Sonic Forces. It has some fun levels and a pretty great soundtrack.

Tonberry

It certainly not as good as the Other Souls games but its not a bad one either I would also say.
Sure it has its problems but a bad Game ? I would not say that its a bit different felling wise to other souls games sure yet you can have your fun with it.

everybody shit talks about DS2 and silent hill 4 there actually good but DS1 is way better but my ds list
is
ds1
DS2
Ds3
Oppenheimer well I feel kind of obliged to agree with your opinion good Sir please don't send a nuke to my location.

Xenosaga 2. It has some awesome concepts in it. Also the Shinji Hosoe portion of the soundtrack is a thousand times cooler than the typical melodramatic movie soundtrack orchestral stuff in the rest of the series. 3 has a pretty good soundtrack but I think 1 is Mitsuda's most undercooked OST. Hosoe's synthy soundscapes and textures fit the futuristic aesthetic and are actually interesting to listen to. Go figure people didn't like that part. If you're actively listening to what's happening, it's much cooler than the filler background stuff the other composer did.

The development history of the game being tumultuous and frustrating does manifest in the game and there are some really annoying directions the game took that required the third entry to basically be narrative damage control. But, standing on its own, it's still a wild ride. Yes - the combat was long and drawn out, but a lot of the concepts developed in that game ended up being the template for how modern JRPGs keep combat interesting.

I'll take it with its flaws and pretentious scope over the complacent assembly-line philosophy that drives the majority of forgettable fantasy shonen RPGs these days.

I would personally call Dark Souls 3 an almost irredeemably awful game, but that’s not the topic here so I’ll leave it at that! ::peacemario
Well now you have me curious why you feel that way!
I definitely do not think DS3 is flawless by any means - my personal biggest issues with it were always that it looks so incredibly, aggressively drab and how linear it feels to play for most of it - but I'd never call it awful.

As for DS2, I'm with you on that, I never got the hate for that game either.
I don't love it, found the majority of its bosses pretty boring and kind of hate how incongruous its lore is with the rest of the series, but that's about it - it's still a really, really good action RPG.

It had a Remastered why ? what did they Update Graphic wise besides the Price Tag.
I actually like TLoU2 as well, but that remaster really is absolute nonsense. There's barely any upgrade graphics-wise - a slight bump in texture resolution and some minor bits and bobs here and there.

The "biggest" differences are that the load times are quicker and they added a roguelike mode to it that's actually pretty good, but could easily have been DLC. That's it.

My longer post is here on the site somewhere if you want to search for it, but it’s mostly because it’s hideously ugly, really linear, way too overcorrective to compensate for DS2’s more mixed reception, and really soulless and derivative in general. Feels like it has more desperate DS1 fanservice than original content (and I never liked how they tried to tie it together with DS1, I much preferred having them all being standalone titles like how 2, and Demon’s, felt when it was new).

I appreciate DS2 way more for experimenting with the format and trying new things (even if not all of it worked out) and how shock full of secrets it felt.

Star Fox Command.
Full Disclosure, I haven't ever learned to play Star Fox 64, feels like the game throws so much stuff at you quickly that is hard to learn, but I enjoyed command. The stylus controls might feel weird at first, but allow very fine control.

It's got much better visuals (lighting, shadows), less blurry textures and no pop in and they improved the animations for higher framerates. Plus having VRR support makes Fidelity mode awesome.

I got my copy for cheap so I ain't complaining too much.

Could have been a DLC or update for sure.

I'll be honest, I genuinely barely saw a difference.
That said, I have the PC version of the remaster and I had it on medium settings back then, so that likely played a part. Plus I'm a philistine when it comes to graphical fidelity - it's a gorgeous game either way, don't get me wrong. I just don't think it needed a remaster at all anytime soon.

makes sense, I went from a blurry 1080p PS4 image on my LCD TV to a razor sharp 4K image on an OLED with HDR so the difference is night and day.

So the TV did play a huge part in the Graphical perceptions I assume.
So how far would be the different be if you played both versions on the Same TV ?

Yes Me Lord Doomer ruler of the known Galaxies and supreme Overlord of Gaming would be a Start ;)
Btw I just wanted to add that the Remaster is not necessary better than the Og as it can be just your Set up this is why I was confused why they needed to make a Remake for the game

my setup takes advantage of all the improvements ::sailor-embarrassed it is objectively better than the original.
