Games similiar to fear and hunger termina?

Baroque has a pretty similar vibe to F&H even though its a completely different type of game
It's a pretty hard dungeon crawler with randomized levels, grotesque enemies and a dark atmosphere

The PS2 remake is really really good but, if you can, do check out the PS1 version, it has even more of a messed up vibe to it

I second Baroque. all crust and rust and ??? And yep, the ps1/saturn original is more intense.
Ahh... Roguelikes... There's Nightmare of Druaga which is excellent, but thats not really the same vibe. Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land is a nice dungeon crawler with a whispy, visually dark feeling but it's not very challenging. Drakengard 1 has the fucked up vibe you might be looking for. But I can't think of anything on ps2 gameplay-wise
If you don't mind heading back to the computer, Ruina: the forgotten Ruins is a neat rpg maker game that isn't nearly as dark as Funger but is still really engrossing. There's Black Souls 1+2 but... that's if you're REALLY desperate. It's an adult game of super (kinda cringe) edginess, so I'd only play it if you have nothing else.

Rule of Rose on PS2 is a survival horror game in a slightly similar vein to Fear and Hunger. It's pretty good, but a physical copy is next to impossible to get without selling a kidney.

You play as Jennifer, a 19 year old girl in the early 20th century who is forced to relive her past. The game is similarly disturbing to Fear and Hunger 2: Termina. If you want to play it: emulate it. It's good but it's not $2,000 good.

I guess The Suffering comes to mind. Survival horror with monsters themed after sins and addiction. The enemies are kinda close. Pretty fun from what I remember too. The Siren series comes to mind too just because the whole city is full of horrors and you feel pretty helpless most of the game.

Very good take. Speaking from a purely aesthetic standpoint, I can definitely see it as an interesting recommendation in comparison to F&H 2: Termina.

so is it CBT games or RPGmaker games you are looking for for PS2 recs?
