Did you know?? Videogames are an international affair!

It's true! Whilst we mostly hear about the happenings of studios and publishers based out of Japan and North America, there's videogames being made all across the world. And that includes....wherever the HECK you are! (I'm guessing???)

So what are some videogames that have been made in YOUR continent/country/region/city/town/street?? Do they make you proud? - or would you rather nobody associated you with their ilk?? We accept everything from AAA, to bedroom programming indie folk! Is your home responsible for a big hitting blockbuster franchise - or maybe just a lesser known RPG Maker shitpost? WE WANT TO KNOW!

BONUS POINTS, if you've ever interacted with any developers first hand - what were they like?
DIFFERENT BONUS POINTS, if you yourself are involved in the industry - whether that's chipping away at a Godot project on the weekend, sleeping on the floor of a far-too-expensive-to-rent office space as a codemonkey during crunch, or engaging in the thankless task of QA.

ofc I appreciate you might not want people to know EXACTLY where you're based - but feel free to use this thread as an opportunity to shine a light on devs a little closer to home!

Being from Spain, we had a kind of golden age of video Game design during the amiga/commodore years, but lately we are famous for Blasphemous and its Sequel
Spain has given us a lot over the last decade or so! Castlevania Lords of Shadow and Metroid Dread were both developed by MercurySteam, and Monster Prom's dev is based in Barcelona - for all the Catalans out there.

I'm originally from St. Louis, Missouri but I frequented Chicago Illinois where Midway Games used to be.
Mortal Kombat is made near me
Chicaaaaaago!

I know a cool trick to fix that...

Edit: sorry, someone's already beaten you to the punch - I was able to find a few Kuwait based studios with shipped titles. Sooquista and Juego studios are MAKING games!

Mobile trash MAYBE - but we don't judge folk for how they put food on the table.

Huh, didn’t know about those! Neat! I would honestly be content with any Arab studio period but this is better, nice find! I hope Sony’s new MENA division goes somewhere haha. That would be nice!

I can't think of any developers or games from Portugal and naming other European countries near me like Spain would be a copout.

Looks like Saber has a Portuguese studio - they handled the Switch ports of Crysis Collection and Call of Cthulu! And seems like historically they made some rally games??

Also,

I've never heard of this! But it seems pretty cool - and SEEDSTUDIOS was based in Portugal (though I'm unsure where specifically)

Mullet Madjack, huh? That's pretty cool, mate!

About an hour from me is where they have offices for Blizzard/Obsidian/Sega (I think?)/Sony (maybe still?). In about a month I'm moving and will be not far from Valve/Nintendo/MS

BioWare is Canadian actually, which weirdly is something I never mentioned in my articles about them now that I think about it. They're from Edmonton, so just about on the west coast.

Only other one I know of is Relic from Vancouver (so actually on the west coast), they made the Dawn of War series and Age of Empires 2 and probably more I can't remember of the top of my head.
