Hello! I want to try a game like oblivion due to the massive trend lol l but my laptop is a potato against all those new games, so if you know like an old game similar (doesn't need to be a 1:1) I would love to know!

The only gamer thing my laptop has is a AMD Ryzen 3 3250U with Radeon Graphics processor and AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 3 Graphics graphic card lol

Two Worlds (1 & 2)
i have totally played the first on 360, but is also on PC;
at least the first should be less demanding than Oblivion i guess

I think The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind could still handle your laptop but the old The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with low graphics settings might still work just try it out.

Elder Scrolls: Morrowind is an obvious choice, besides Daggerfall (that is free on GOG). Both are considered absolute classics.

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is an underrated gem in my opinion. It was released around the same time and its physics mechanics put Oblivion to shame; you can, for example, freeze the floor to make the enemy slip and fall into a chasm or break an oil jar and when the enemy get close set the oil on fire. You play as the apprentice of a mage who tries to kill you for some reason after you get an item, and apparently there is the evil of a prophecy that is coming and you can choose between the path of good helping one lady, or be part of the path of evi,l helping a succubus. This is the very tl;dr of the story , as I don't want to spoil you.

Arx Fatalis was also released around the same time as Oblivion and it has a unique magic system that you need to draw the runes with your mouse (the fan patch makes it much easier to do) and is also a very robust game. In a world where the entire population was forced to live in caves underground, there is unrest as the different races are starting to have a conflict. You wake up naked, disoriented, and the first thing that happens to you is that you are thrown into jail. It is another of those games if you go blind about the story, the better. (and there is a reason why the main character has somewhat stilted voice)

If it's that low spec, you could try the mod Oldblivion for the original version of the game.

EDIT: Now I realize you probably meant a game like Oblivion, not Oblivion itself, but I'll leave this post here anyway.

I just recalled a few more games

Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2. Both are Dungeons and Dragons games in the Forgotten Realms setting, like the Baldur's Gate games. I need to replay the 2nd game, but the 1st one is very open with your character creation and options. You investigate a mysterious plague that is threatening the city of Neverwinter and, of course, it is just the tip of the iceberg. Many branching choices makes your experience very different, and the mod community still releases full scenarios and other goodies, I'm currently playing a Diablo I + Hellfire conversion.

The Witcher 1 and 2. I know, I know. I'm not talking about the 3rd game that might be a bit too much for potatoes. But these two were made with the NWN engine, so you might be able to enjoy this trend with the older games.

And something a bit different?
The Forgotten City. It started as a Skyrim mod, but the developer made its own game. This is a more linear story experience, but it could be a nice experience. You find yourself by a river with a stranger, and you are stuck there, and someone has disappeared, so you offer to go investigate. Next thing you know, you are trapped in a city underground, where it seems they are all living in the Roman era, and a mysterious Golden Rule makes everyone afraid: everyone will pay for the sins of one. It is a time loop game, it can get very philosophical.
