It becomes double funny when you can just walk up to Belias and waste him in a turn or two with your superpowered Ramza. Another fun way to cheese him is to find a Chameleon Robe and slap that on Ramza. The Holy Knight skills are lies, they seem like they're supposed to be Holy elemental but they're actually whatever element the equipped sword in the right hand is. However, the game still thinks they are Holy so Wiegraf won't use his sword skills since the Chameleon Robe absorbs Holy, so he'll just use his Martial Arts secondary skills instead and they aren't particularly threatening. Belias is still a problem with that method though. Aww, thank you so much. ? I love topics like these too because it's really cool to hear about different people's experiences and how it shaped them into the gamers they are today. Or even shaped them in general sometimes. Numemon and Sukamon were total fucking blights in that game. At least they eat the shit that's left on the ground when your Digimon doesn't make it to the toilet in time instead of it being a permanent blight. That's... something at least. I had the official strategy guide and even with it's guidance training your Digimon fast enough before they digivolved naturally or died was a pain in the ass no matter which way you cut it. And sometimes, even with the right stats, it just didn't fucking work. There is Digimon World Re:Digitize: Decode and Digimon World: Next Order that follow the same formula that Digimon World did, but they didn't have the same charm the original did, despite being objectively far better games. And yeah, switching between series must have been confusing for a first timer, but it would have been even more jarring if you went for Monster Rancher. x) That's absolutely nothing like the anime. Finally, I can't believe I forgot one of my most special and favorite games! Silent Hill for the PS1. I was never really a fan of horror when I was younger, but Resident Evil always seemed cool from what I saw in video game magazines. However, my mom had some mysterious stick up her ass and wouldn't let me play it. She would let me watch, read or play anything else but RE. I still don't get it. Anyway, my thirst for RE only got worse when I got an issue of GamePro with what we now call Resident Evil 1.5 on the cover and featured in an article. RE2 proper eventually came and I still couldn't play the series, but Silent Hill appeared on my radar when Tips & Tricks featured a full walkthrough of the game. I thought it looked really cool, so I rented it and was completely floored by it. It didn't really scare me all that much, even though I was only 11 at the time, but the atmosphere and soundtrack was unlike anything I had played before and the story was really intriguing. I beat it within a few days and picked up a copy for myself soon after. It very quickly became one of my favorites, I replayed it over and over and over. Could even beat it in a little over an hour eventually, the closest I've ever come to speedrunning a game. x) In the end, it birthed one of my favorite series ever (even though only about half of them are good) and I spent more time in forums and theorycrafting than I have ever done before or since. Oh and by the time Resident Evil 3 came out my mom finally let me play the series and that also became a favorite series. Yay! [/QUOTE]
