What are some games from when you were a kid or a teen that you remember fondly? Games that when you look back on them it gives you that sweet sweet hit of nostalgia based serotonin.

I have plenty like Sonic the Hedgehog, Spyro the Dragon, Mortal Kombat, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, Jak & Daxter, and many more.

A lot of mine are Commodore 64 games: Hardball, Law of the West, Impossible Mission, and Sid Meier's Pirates. Then on Genesis, a lot of that early stuff like Last Battle and Tommy Lasorda Baseball. Going back to that stuff is always like a warm handshake from an old friend. :)

Animal Crossing on the GameCube, Army Men: Sarge's Heroes on the Nintendo 64, mainly playing a little bit of the boot camp part, Banjo-Kazooie/Banjo-Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, ClayFighter 63 1/3, Destruction Derby 64, Road Rash: Jailbreak on the PS1, Sled Storm on the PS1, and probably others.

Super Mario Land definitely

Especially the OST

hat 2011 Spider-Man movie got a bunch of tie-in games, and I got the DS port of all things. It was an asset flip and quite crappy but little me thought it was cool because you could damage enemies by swinging into them like in the other movie. The boss theme goes hard for no fucking reason and it baffles me to this day.

Age of Mythology - The Titan (Win XP)

Counter Strike 1.6 | Half Life Mod (Win XP)

Diablo 2 (Win 9x / Win XP)

Gunbound (Win 9x / Win XP)

Ragnarok Online (Win 9x / Win XP)

Genesis: Aladdin, Lion King, Beavis and Butthead (Can still own the hospital lvl) Pac-Man Adventure, NBA Jam, Monopoly, Wheel of Fortune

PS1: Final Fantasy 7-9, MGS1, WWF Games from Warzone to Smackdown 2, Crash Bandicoot 2/3, Star Wars MTK, Driver, and Gex Series.

All of them I remember fondly and spent many hours with. It's always a treat now to go back and play some of them just for that hit of nostalgia.

Joe & Mac, Zombies ate my Neighbors, The Chaos Engine, Age of Empires 2, Metal Slug X, Ghost Recon, Halo CE, Age of Wonders 2, Sim City 3000, and Freedom Fighters.

Age of Empires 3. I actually DL'd first the demo and then kept replaying the same maps for a while before actually buying it. Simcity 4 + Rush Hour is also a game I wasted wayy too much time, I can still remember the whole OST. And finally Ragnarok Online... a game that forever ruined my sleep hours lol

I was a wee child, only 8, and I had never witnessed anything like it. Dripping with style, blasting my ears with molten metal, a Gothic atmosphere and mixed judeo-christian and greek mythos that captured my imagination, and the slickest, most satisfying, most immeasurably over-the-top and badass combat I have ever played, all lead by a protagonist I look up to to this day for his choice to not let the circumstances of his birth define him.

Wanna know the name?

Devil May Cry

As a young child, my late father had introduced me to the original NES and the first two games I ever played which had helped set me on my video game journey: Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda.

Almost too many to list... Sensible Soccer, Secret Agent, Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego?, Frontline, Cannon Fodder, SMB, Desert Strike, SkyRoads...

Yup just like @Waffles said, too many

Age of Mythology - The Titan (Win XP)

cooking mama, final fantasy tactics, any sort of pokemon game. Me and my friend had moms that worked together at a hair salon so sometimes after school we would chill in the back with our games and play together.
also old roblox. Like circa 2009-2013 which is around the time i joined and played alot (not my screenshot i probably have one somewhere but id have to go digging for it). Back when safe chat was still a thing and ugc was only a pipedream. made alot of my earliest online friends on here and would do most of my rping here as well.

Harvest Moon and Legend of The Dragoon on PS1. didn't have memory card back then so it's always a new beginning every time I play.

FOUND A SCREENSHOT LETS GOO this was before i was able to use the chat but i got around it playing games that specifically had user made chat guis. Which in hindsight was not the best because they couldn't really be moderated. also if i remember this was probably 2012 or 2011 when this was taken

The original Diablo. I used to have a lot of LAN parties with my parents in the computer room. It was also the first video game I beat. My dad and I defeated Diablo together when I was five years old. It will forever be a core memory.

The Simpsons Game, especifically the PS2 version. As a kid I never really played many games that were not related to things that I already knew like cartoons or tv shows and The Simpsons Game really felt like playing a season of the Simpsons. I loved watching the animated cutscenes because they made it feel even more like an epsiode of the show. Never beat it tho. The last level , from what I remember, are The Simpsons playing a rythm game against... Jesus Christ? and my child brazillian brain couldn't understand what I needed to do. I had fun though.
