I want to make gameboy game but I'm new to game development stuff and having issues with adding textures in programm. Can anyone help me with that? Maybe there's something with format or resolution

You gotta do that off site using stuff like Piskel or smth. Then you download it, gp back into the app, press the folder icon (in Game World) and import it using that iirc. I actually have a class where the first half was learning about GB Studio, though now we're using Playdate

First you make your texture, then you locate where your GBStudio project is and add it to assets/background if it's a background or assets/sprites if it's for characters or other objects that would move. If you want to edit your sprites you go into View/Sprites in GBStudio and set them up.
You can add other assets too but those are enough for you as a start.
