Forum games Ideas/Suggestions

RGT is so far my first and only forum; I’ve heard of forums games before, seen a couple on here but only a handful. I’m interested in trying to start one myself, and hopefully this thread will inspire some others to try starting their own; But I’m not sure where to start, unsure what my fellow users would actually be interested in playing.

I played one years back that was a daisy-chain story telling sort of thing. The op started a story, then each post added to it bit by bit.

I always liked the "The Person Above Me" kind of games.

I'm also rather found of the "1000 Ways to X" games.

I have never been a fan of forum games other than the one where members count to the highest number before a moderator or admin says something to disturb the count. I can imagine how much fun the admins here would do that In comparison to the other sites where the admins dont speak much

I've always loved Celeste (both modern and classic), a platformer with mechanics like Zelda. The dash is so satisfying

I made one on here about making a pizza, but I've seen one about posting the last thing you copied, (ctrl+c), post random pics, replace a word in an anime title with another specific word, post random manga panels, post your yuri/yaoi pics, there was one on here about giving something to the user above, (though I haven't seen that forum bumped in awhile now) and so ons.

Part of the reason I made this thread, to see what games users on here would be interested in. Largely the fear of starting one only for it to die on impact

I can't speak for others, but I'll give it a shot. I love a good forum game.

It's an interesting idea on paper but after the first few posts these sort of games start getting stale and repetitive in my opinion. But maybe i'm just biased since i mainly use forums for discussion and debates instead of this sort of thing.

To be fair, there's over 500 posts in the Pixel Trivia thread. Folks probably just have to try something and see if it catches on, there's been like ten or so forum game threads on here with varying popularity.

I'm amazed nobody created web based BBS Doors for forums, I'd love to play some LORD or Food Fight or Barren Realms Elite again...

That does make sense.

I'd guess that it's probably the most replies on a single forum on here, but that's just a guess since I haven't spent a lot of time seeing how many replies that every single post on here has.

It's up there with the Mega Man and Final Fantasy Megathreads, but I think the two hot takes threads have the highest count.

Would it be possible for you guys to move the "Latest s/replies" section to the top of the page on mobile view? I hate having to scroll to the bottom to check latest threads.
