I like fonts.
Or rather, I have a terrible taste with fonts.

I'm obsessed with serif types, going as far as to edit my own font for my operating system's interface.
This is my current 'rice', as the kids would call it:

I'm usually not one for minimalism but- who am I kidding? Look, it's complicated. Once you start down this well, you can't go back. But I digress.

The font in question is one I shamelessly ripped from this gentleman(?)'s site, then edited in FontForge to change a few letters to my liking.
Anybody wants to check them out, I've appended them to this post.

Anyways, my point is, is anyone in here also mildly interested, or has a taste as terrible as mine when it comes fonts?

I used to collect fonts to do terrible graphic designs and parody logos when I was younger, and even spent ridiculous amounts of time trying to figure out what certain teams and companies used for their iconography. It's amazing how many I nailed through sheer will and how many I found suitable replacements for.

I love fonts, it can be art too!
My favourite would be the Metal Gear Solid fonts, I've been using some of them in the comics lately like the "Tactical Espionage" one

A very specific case, there is a kinda obscure game series that I like that took place in a universe called EXA_PICO, it has it's own conlang with various grammar rules and structure based on which region it is written on.

Back in my university days, me and a handful of friends would use this to send secret messages through chat apps, I admit we used it for cheating on a test once.
Nobody, absolutely nobody, has ever found out.
That sounds like fun! I find conlang stuff very interesting. I also *kinda* do something like a conlang (though it is not) with my fonts and my writing. I call it 'testo' or 'espahol', and it really is just a workaround for when I want to write in Spanish using a limited character set. It has some unnecessary flourishes, but it is also very practical.
I don't know how much this'll be understood, but pay attention mainly to accentuation marks (´). Also, the thing that looks like a 'q' and a 'u' mixed together is supposed to be an 'm'.

Ahhh i remember CD's of sound effects and fonts and image graphics of old...

Might still find some of them via textfiles.com (old old shareware and abandonware pre windows95 mostly)
I would have loved to get my hands in a CD like that when I was a kid. I was scrambling for anything that resembled sounds or music lol.

It was literally just short sounds, not as WAV files but as individual tracks, and limitations on the track numbers meant there were 99 sounds/tracks total (probably 10 seconds or less; Well with fade in/out it might be 8 second each max). I have no clue what you'd have used those effects for.

Being semi-commercial products i'd expect them to run you $10-$20.
