First time you heard N.E.S. called "NESS"?

I grew up with British YouTubers like Ashens and Guru Larry, so I still think of the SNES as the "Snesss" to this very day. I've never heard of the NES as the Ness though. Odd.

I think I first heard it around the early 2000s? Before then everyone called it Nintendo.

For me, its always been pronounced "Ness", ive literally never heard anyone ever before this thread say each letter separately

I always said N.E.S. "Any-Ess" I heard "Ness" back in the day from people. It was "Nintendo" or "Regular Nintendo" more often. Nobody cared.

A lot of you don't realize that NP's mascot was named Nester.

I've heard "Sness" a lot for the SNES, but I'm not sure I've ever heard "Ness." Everyone always just said "Nintendo" or "N E S."

After Nintendo 64, people who said "SNESS" dropped the Super S and retconned the cannon to begin calling the previous systems "NESS" and "SNESS" for convenience going forward from that point on.

N64 was often called "sixtyfour" and we all knew what that meant.

During the late 80s and early 90s I never remember anyone calling N.E.S. anything other than Nintendo as it was the only Nintendo system to refer to.

It was just Nintendo until Super Nintendo came out, then it became Regular Nintendo

Not until I got the internet. I never heard it called Nes like it was a word when I was a kid.
