Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my thoughts on Fire Emblem: Bound Destiny. I’ve been diving deep into it lately, and honestly, it’s been a while since a fan project hooked me this hard.
I’m currently playing through Part 1 of the trilogy, and I’ve already clocked in over 20 hours of gameplay. Here’s a quick breakdown of my experience so far:
The Good
The scope of this project is incredible. Even though I’m only on the first part of the trilogy, the narrative depth and strategic challenges have kept me glued to my screen. If you’re a fan of classic FE gameplay, the mission design here feels very rewarding.
The Not-So-Good
Lack of Custom Battle Animations: One minor letdown is the absence of custom battle animations. It’s not a dealbreaker, but seeing the standard assets can feel a bit plain if you were expecting unique visual flair for the characters.
Minor Bugs: I’ve encountered a few small bugs during my 20-hour run. Nothing game-breaking so far, but they are noticeable enough to mention. It just needs a little more polish in some areas.
Final Thoughts
Despite these small gripes, the sheer volume of content in Part 1 alone is impressive. I’m genuinely excited to see how the story carries over into the next two parts.
Is anyone else playing this right now? I’d love to hear your thoughts or any tips for the mid-game!
Also, considering the massive scale of this game—nearly 100 chapters in total—I’d be very grateful if anyone could let me know if there’s a ROM hack or a patch that supports an in-game fast-forward/speed-up option. Thanks in advance!
On a side note, are there any other Fire Emblem ROM hacks you’d recommend that are massive in scale—around 100 chapters—and feature a built-in fast-forward or speed-up option? I’d love to find more long-term projects like this one. Thanks in advance!
