An incredibly well done recreation of Fire Emblem 1 using FE8's engine as a base. This comes in two versions:

  • Faithful reproduces the particular quirks of FE1 very closely, within the limits of the engine.
  • Not So Faithful has mechanical adjustments to bring the game experience more in line with modern FE entries.
Information:

Faithful:

Credits: Ok_Dude
Version: 2.1
Date: 13th of March, 2025

Not So Faithful:

Credits: Slig
Version: Unknown, assumed to be 1.9.2
Date: Unknown

RB's Notes: These hacks do not cover both books!

This is a long shot, but did anyone successfully install the 3ds fan remake that released a bit ago? I'd love to be able to, but there's no specific instructions to installing on real hardware from the dev.

Honestly I never trought seeing fire emblem shadow dragon in fates, thought thanks for make find this one

Despite being a romhack of some of the existing Fire Emblem game this is much better achieved than the original Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon of the DS.

Shadow Dragon Remastered hack is very nice and I loved my playthrough of this hack back in the day but nowadays my favorite FE1 remake is:

Give it a chance! There is plenty of new content to see <3

Very cool! , long time years I was hoped someone made remastered mod for this part!

I didn't even know about this one. I'll take a look.

Edit: Installing on real hardware should be similar to installing on Citra.

For real hardware, you need to have Luma installed, and then place the provided files on the correct directory.

SD Card Root > luma > titles > titleID, should be 0004000000179800 if you are using the US version and then you drop all the contents of the mod right on that folder.

Got it working. In my case my 3ds Luma did not have patching games enabled for some reason. Here is how you do it in case anyone needs it:

  1. Power off your console
  2. Boot your console while holding (Select) to launch the Luma configuration menu
  3. Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
    "Enable game patching”
  1. Press (Start) to save and reboot

Apparently the luma patch gives some slowdown and the author recommends to build a cia with luma, which i am unable to do since i don't have enough sd card free space. And i also dont know how to do haha
There's probably an option inside luma to do it.
