I didn’t like the way they started writing the storylines around Shadowbringers, where they dropped the more political storylines in favor of a more generic world-saving adventure. I thought the story in Endwalker was dogshit the whole way through and I was close to dropping the game during the post-launch patches because nothing excited me. I haven’t played since Dawntrail’s launch patch because I think it’s kind of boring and formulaic now. I still keep myself up-to-date by my friends and brother who still plays, but I’m feeling pretty burnt out. At least the encounters in Dawntrail are interesting and creative compared to EW. My main Jobs have mostly been Bard, Samurai and Red Mage, and some Paladin and Warrior.
