I really want to replay Final Fantasy VI, a game that when legendary i haven't touched since i finished middle school, to do so in these times i need the proper tool(s), in a nutshell a Vanilla Extra hack, however currently they are 3:

Brave New World
Reimagined
Hope Eternal and Love Everlasting

I recommend the Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition, but I don't recommend T-Edition until you're much more familiar with the game. Much more.

None of these. Go with A Soldier's Contingency. It changes the gameplay in some radical, but positive ways, in my opinion.

For Brave New World check discord to grab the latest release candidate.
romhacking version is 2.1, but 2.2 is out there with many qol features and polishing

I've only played the original for years. It's best to look at all three versions and decide based on your feeling, that's how I always do it.

i'd recommend playing the original version, but do what the guy in this video does.
it'll make the game feel like a whole new experience.

I've decided to stick to Hope Eternal, Reimagined seems to still have bugs and when BNW is still rocks, it at times show its age

I don't like (or recommend) BNW because it changes the script in ways I don't like and doesn't fix the fundamental problems with the game, just offers band-aid fixes.
