first thing that comes to mind is the 6th gen dbz games. They didn't miss a single time, every single game contains the hottest of jams. It's also where my obsession with jazz fusion came from, particularly the Budokai/Infinite World tracks.

Tekken's OST from 2-5 including Tag Tournament 1 is definitely worth checking out. Nothing but bangers across those games. I also recommend checking out Megaten music. That series to this day still produces bangers from across several generations. From Megaten 2's famicom soundtrack being the best on the system, to the hard guitar riffs during the PS2 era, and even extending to SMT IV's more electronic sound on the 3DS. The persona games are also fantastic with their OST with 2 and 3 being my favorites. Here are some of my favorites:
