Story & Character? Planescape Torment. To this day nothing comes close really.

But gameplay weirdness? I love the all monster party in Saga Frontier. It's so funny, principally with the big transformations.

I'm not the biggest South Park fan, but those were some surprisingly solid games!

I made sure I listened to EVERY skit in the game because I absolutely loved the way they all bounced off each other, really fun cast.

I liked the party in Indivisible, all of the characters just vibed with me despite not having much story involvement. Everyone playing differently with the fighting game style combat was neat.

Mass Effect 2's suicide mission made the party in that game stand out, and how it was all about assembling the team.

And I really liked Persona 3's party, the group living in the same dorm gave them a good dynamic. I liked that the cast interactions didn't feel dependent on the MC, like Yukari being suspicious of Mitsuru (and later becoming close friends after everything comes out). And Junpei felt like a real friend to the MC precisely because of the period where he got jealous and petty over the MC being the squad leader, made the scene with him in the final month feel more earned.
