I want to know.
What is your actual favorite game that you been playing for this past months or years.
Kinda meh question but you know I just want to know I may find out games that I haven't played yet
As for my favorite game currently.
Its gotta be Garou Mark Of The Wolves
Since SNK it's going to release a new Fatal Fury game I've been playing just for the wait of the new game but I ended up getting myself hooked to this game ever since. I forgot how good this game was in terms of play style and general character design.
Really cool game tbh

I spent the better part of a year playing Mark of the Wolves back in the day, using the Kaillera service to play online with a Mame32 fork.

Only fighting game I ever got decent at, which is to say I learned enough to understand just how much better the best players were than me. It's got fantastic balance between the roster, with the only issues being Tizoc is a bit too handicapped, and Kevin Rian is a bit too good.

On topic: The favorite right now is Hades 2 Early Access, but I've finished everything in the game currently till the next update. Currently in that pit of malaise after loving a game or story, I just want more, and I haven't shaken that enough to lock in to a new thing yet.

Ah, a cultured individual, very good, very good! let's hope City of Wolves delivers.
My current conundrum is exactly deciding what to play next.

I still currently playing Final Fantasy 6 - A Soldier's Contingency Ver. 2.0 on SNES9X.

As an fan of FF6, there was several hacks when I played when they released. I understand, with the moders, why FF6 is more popular than FF7(in the past 2 years, I saw ONLY ONE mod of the game, and this is the unfamous one for use only in emulators when you can use Aertith up to the final battle against Sephiroth and few other changes in writting - such as Fire 3 as Firaga). And in these same two years passed, the moding community released two spetacular mods of FF6: the mentioned A Soldier's Contingency, and the T-Edition, who in fact was already released in the end of 2010's in Japan but only now gets a english release, but some fans considers the english T-Edition's as ''brand new''.

On my opinion, A Soldier's Contingency is little inferior than T-Edition in terms of changes and contents. The differences of ASC are notable for me, such as the usage of Leo as a regular character, Shadow as a temporary character(sad for me, but I saw rumors that the makers of these are planning a Version 3.0 with more changes and Shadow as a regular character, even they must change the story again), and a new region in World of Ruin when we faces random superboses, as part of ''Beast Hunting'' quest. But I wanted ASC a mod like T-Edition, with a large expansion of the story, more secret dungeons and the inclusion of Legendary Weapons like the ones who existis in any FF5 version(SNES, PS1, GBA, Mobile and Pixel Remaster). Otherwise, ASC is a great mod, but I still continuing done more suport for T-Edition.

ASC is an interesting hack. I love FF6 but it is deeply flawed, and I prototyped many was in my mind how I could fix it, though I haven't reached a proper solution yet. That said, ASC hits many of the right bullet points for me.

I'm big fan of persona 3 especially p3p because it's has the best story of any games a played yet and I can spend hours just trying to complete a social link and the backstory of each characters is really good

I have several i return to over and over again right now for different itches.

Rebel Galaxy, trading space cowboy
Windforge, get the 2D minecraft feel, but with flying whales
Skyrim (or CyberPunk 2077), gets that open world adventure.
Ring Runner Flight of the Sages, Newtonian physics space battles and ship customization. If you've played Operation inner space you'll know what i mean.
Megaman X, 2D Platforming
Tis-100, programming parallel chips to get stuff done.

I have too many favorite videogames. I absolutely have to mention 3:

- Spider-Man 3 for PS2. It's a game that reminds me too much of my childhood, I was 7 years old when the third film came out, and I remember the advertisements that were on TV at the time. My family and I are big fans of this movie, and I've always found the game fun (although I recognize that it's not a great game, at least as far as the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are concerned)

- Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. Bought in 2015 for Xbox 360, from that time to today I have completed it 8 times between PS4, PS5, PC and X360. Many don't consider it worthy of this series, but honestly I found it funnier than the third one which bored me a lot. But I'm not a video game critic, luckily.

- Fallout 4. I discovered it the year the trailer came out. I bought the 3 for 360, and completed it right away. A few years later, my dad and I bought the Xbox One to play together, it was great. We love the story, the design of the world, the characters and the monsters, as well as the songs that we occasionally blast in the car or at home.

One of the more recent ones for me has to be Octopath Travelers 2, the first game was really fun but the second game outdoes it and I think its a more cohesive experience without stripping away what made Octopath 1 great. The variety of the character stories on display and the blend of industrialization and magic while not new are welcome additions, and let them play with more themes for each character's story. That and the Path actions make NPCs a really engaging part of the experience where in a lot of games they are easy to overlook.
