There's this game called Dead Heat by Bandai Namco that I played at an amusement park one time. (the cabinet in the arcade section of the park was old and decrepit, the NOS button didn't work, and the steering wheel broke off while I was playing.)
It had this neat little feature where the game takes a picture of each player's face before every race and you can see all the other players faces during the race.

About fifteen years ago, my local arcade in Springfield, Oregon had one of these whackass beetle fighting games made by Sega:

NGL, I really liked it! Totally had the card it would spit out, so I could play with the same beetle each time and help it grow stronger. I only played the game a few times before it got swapped out for something else, unfortunately 😣

I grew up a "bug kid," and loved collecting bugs from the yard and putting them in a little wood and mesh holder that I had built. Only found a few Stag Beetles over the years, but I was always so fascinated by them - though I never made them fight. But at least I had this arcade game to help give me an idea of how that may have played out...

I always find it hard to pass by this game without playing it.

When I was in college, there was an arcade near my house that had one of these, and I can't tell you how much money I spent playing it, but the one I played had the turntable on the left side and the buttons on the right.

Police 911 or The Keisatsukan is the one that comes to mind. It's a on-rails shooter, but it tracks your body movements so you need to phisically take cover from shots or duck to reload the gun. The game is incredibly fun, but I only saw it once in a mall arcade and never again. Here's one of the few videos I could find of it

I was once at a Chuck E Cheese and the line for Super Mario was long, so I found myself playing an old game called Tugboat, which is just a vertically scrolling game where you guide a tugboat through sections of a river. Even at the time, everything about it felt dated, but man did I sit there until all of my quarters were gone.

I always liked the G.I Joe Arcade as well as Bucky O'Hare (awesome beat'em up style game) and a TOTALLY obscure gem....Cowboys of Moo Mesa. (Think Sunset Riders with Bulls/Cows)

For years I thought CoMM was just the Sunsetriders with different sprites, but that isn't the case at all. Both games are really great.

Gundam Pod is one of my bucket list arcade games. Hologram Time Traveler; I played this in the early 90s at Neptune's Kingdom just after the release of Mortal Kombat II (Arcade).

I beat this game or it's sequel at a mini golf place in the early 2000s, I remember it had yakuza guys with swords and hostage situations in it and my legs were shot the next day lol.

I would say a lot of the Sega Model 2 and Model 3 games. I only saw a few cabinets back in the day. Heck I own Virtua fighter 2 and Virtua fighter 3 arcade pcbs and those were hard to find in a good working state.
