The land where most VTubers live, primarily.
Apparently I was searching for online radio stations when I came across several stations that play indie music (or music from unsigned artists and bands), and that reminds me about making this topic, what are your favorite indie artists, local or foreign, and why do you like them. I remember in my childhood there used to be local analog fm radio stations that play indie music exclusively, but due to what happened, they never returned. I'll start with mine, and my favorite indie artists/band are

*Mitski (That haunting Your Love's Mine All Mine, that's all)
*Clairo (because of her bedroom pop sound, and her fashion style)
*Tame Impala
*Alvvays (and their lead singer Molly Rankin)
*The Last Dinner Party (gothic and haunting melodies)
*Phoenix
*Japanese Breakfast (because of Michelle Zauner's voice hehe)

What about yours?

They weren't local to me, but there was (is?) a band called GIANTS that did cool instrumental... I guess rock? I bought their album on a record store guy's recommendation and wish there had been so much more than a handful of releases.

I'm personally a fairly big fan of some bands like Two Door Cinema Club, but also lo-fi hip hop like City Girl and Uyama Hiroto. I also appreciate Vocaloid artists in general, as it's a pretty fascinating community.

I like some songs from bands like Foster the People (no, not Pumped up Kicks, I actually dislike that one) and I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME. I also like bands like and SIAMÉS but I'm not sure if they're classified as indie bands. The indie label can a bit confusing to me, lol.

Duran Duran
Calling one of the biggest and most influential 80s western pop-rock bands indie feels a bit weird ngl

If you like Last Dinner Party, try Black Country New Road's latest album (which is very different from their previous stuff).

Cornelius, Guitar Wolf, and Pizzicato Five
