Hello Retro Game Talk. I haven't used the forums feature before, since I mainly joined to enjoy the video games. But might as well talk to you all.

What were your favorite games as a kid, there is no worry to list a bad game. We all were kids once, and we didn't know what a bad game was. For me the games that come to mind are:
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Transformers The Game
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Those three were my most played games growing up, because I love blowing stuff up, causing destruction and just having fun. Plus going around a open world as a transformer was my dream come true.

What are your games?

Define "kid", because I'm counting all of preschool to high school.
Pokémon Blue
Final Fantasy IX
Megaman Battle Network 2 and 3
Runescape 2
Persona 3 Portable

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Curious as to what you think of it now.

For me...

Spider-Man: The Movie, Spider-Man 2
Pokemon Red, Gold, Crystal, Ruby
Kingdom Hearts
Medal of Honor: Frontline
Sonic Heroes
Sly Cooper, Sly 2, Sly 3
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2

For me was definitely Sonic 1 on the genesis, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage, my mom literally bought it so i would be inside instead of playing on the streets lol (It was pretty dangerous)

Animal Crossing, Banjo-Tooie, Mario Kart 64, Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Shrek SuperSlam, Crash Tag Team Racing, Road Rash: Jail Break, Sled Storm, Super Smash Bros. Melee.

heyy Transformers The Game and Gta SA are the two games I played a whole lot as a kid! I also remember playing halo 2 and the ultimate spider man

Edit: just remembered, I played the PC port of Spiderman 2! man that was an interesting game

Since there's a lot of overlap between games I enjoyed both as a kid and as adult, I'll highlight one that was a blast to play especially as a kid:

It's so full of surprises and it's actually hard (for a kid!)

Banjo-Tooie also blew my mind when I played for the first time too (I was 5 or 6), and at 11 years old I'd finally buy the game for myself. Nowadays it's hard for me to enjoy it as much.

GTA: Vice City
Mario Kart Wii
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Mario Party 8
SM64DS
The Simpsons: Hit and Run
The SpongeBob Movie Game
Sonic Mega Collection Plus
Mario Party DS
NSMB DS and Wii
Smash Bros. Brawl (I don’t love it as much anymore)
Hot Shots Tennis
Super Mario Sunshine
Smash Bros. Melee
Mario Kart DS

FF9 literally ruled my life
not even after finishing it, i was roleplaying turn-based battles with my friends and teaching them how to do the animations of vivi while he casts 😂
i would literally look at a hole in the ceiling and believe it would lead me to the FF9 dimension, specifically the mythril mines, and i'd see Garnet and Zidane 😭

I'll admit. It has aged poorly and the graphics are rough, but I still enjoy it for nostalgia reasons.

Yeah, the game was TRASHED back in the day. So much so they released t3 the redemption as an apology (which I do enjoy).

Most of the games I mentioned do hold up fairly well when I play them today, though I have developed a sort of love/hate relationship with Sonic Heroes (having the famously botched ps2 version didn't help, although even on PC there's plenty of jank).
