Pray, share with me what is thy favored breed of dog, and what virtues or qualities make it stand out in thy esteem? Your insights are most appreciated.

Collie, like my late Apollo.

He was loyal as all hell, really sweet and really smart. We played for many hours during his decade-long stay on this Earth.

For me its a Chow Chow my Ma had one and she was the most Loyal and Smartest Dog you could ever wish for.And I also like German Shepherds.

And I also love Collies

and not just because of the Series Lassie

My neighbor had a dog like that! He’s really friendly and playful fella. Quite naughty too, he really loves chasing little kids away from their property. When the kid he chased got scared or starts crying the dog immediately runs back home, quite a bully I’d say.

Doberman are underrated and they sadly have a Negative reputation some people in Germany like a relative of mine even calling them Teufelshund (Devil Dog). They have a bad reputation thanks to inexperienced Dog Owners who don't know what to do and they can't keep the Dog in check,as the Doberman is not a Beginners Dog.They are in fact quite Smart but they also need a Experienced and Smart Owner otherwise they will not behave.

Anything not miniature. I hate toy dogs, and most of my experiences with them have shown them to be mean little assholes with the "small dog syndrome", which in nature does not perpetuate their lifespan very much.

German shepherd.
Though I don’t think I’d be a good fit to own one, but they’re very pretty.

I also like long haired dachshunds, golden retriever, labradors and chowchows.

I like their look but I am a bit sad when I've learnt that their ears are clipped by people to make them listen more easily.

I really thought they naturally had jackal-like ears.

Personally I love the Husky mostly because of their deep-looking eyes

Also because I prefer the more "wolf-like" breeds.

As a former owner of one, I have to say Labradors. They're just so sweet and smart and loving. At least mine was. For similar reasons, I also like Golden Retrievers, they're just so goofy.
