It can either be just comedy or gag comedy/gag humor that you might really like.

For comedy anime, I'd pick Aho-Girl, And Yet The Town Moves, Azumanga Daioh, Bakuon!!, Engaged to the Unidentified, Minami-ke & Gabriel DropOut.

For gag comedy/humor, Pani Poni Dash!, Lucky Star & Nichijou.

Seto no hanayome. Some of the jokes are better in the anime than the manga because they sometimes use a cheap art style in some escenes 😅

Nichijou is brain meltingly funny in its nonsense. I love Gintama too.

These days I avoid it too, but some are just outright classics.
20 some episodes or the usual 12 episodes are ones that I normally watch so I'll be able to watch them and not take too long to finish watching them.

@Ikagura I've watched a bit of Samurai Pizza Cats in 2021, though I didn't finish it. Sorry about not quoting ya and just doing the @ instead.

I don't tend to watch super long anime.
I relate to that. I loved Case Closed but can no longer watch it because it's longer than One Piece! I'd stick to the earlier seasons.

I don't know if it counts as a gag anime but it's quite parodic regarding the toku genre with quirky characters

I love space dandy
I'll never forget this one thanks to scenes like that one

I am not fully used to the quote system myself.

24 Episodes is quite standard for a season I think. It wasn't a bingewatch era so there are often a ton of filler episodes around for animes.

I forgot how long it was but I do enjoy some of the gags.

I did the @ since I replied to RageBurner above and didn't see your reply until I clicked back on my forum threat, sorry about that. I don't like to binge watch anything as I like to enjoy watching anime, I usually just watch an episode of an anime then wait 5-7 days to watch the next one, as I do have maybe 20 or so anime that I start, (mostly English subtitled only ones, but I do like my English dubs).

@MDGeistsfavMC5song Sorry, I just also saw your reply too after quote replying back to Inkagura and it should be fine to also list anime that others have listed, as they're probably your favorites as well.

Comedy exclusive anime was never my thing but I watched one years ago and I cried laughing, Asobi Asobase:

Also its outro rocks.

Some like Great Teacher Onizuka,School Rumble,Ganso Tensai Bakabon,Sakigake Otokojaku,Mahoujin Guru Guru,Cromartie,Detroit Metal City,Kenzen Robo Daimdaler,DNA2,Secret Of Akkochan(the second adaptation

I love if you wanna try "Hayate no gotoku"
Best Main character and for comedy have all things like Anime, game, manga Parody and reference every episode. Talk about Poor main protagonist for self insert Lol
