This happened to me in Postal 4 once, my own fault for actually trying to play Postal 4.

Happened to me my very first time playing Superman 64. Like, I don't even think they bothered to put "invisible walls" around the Metropolis map to prevent you from cruising into that endless, off-yellow void. I was flying in one of the trenches around town when the map just straight-up ended - with nothing preventing me from flying out into the nothing.

I think the Superman model eventually started leaving "trails" around him as the twisted and turned in the air. I thought it was pretty rad, in a head-shaking sort of way, though the buddy I was playing with was sufficiently freaked-out, and asked me to turn off the console.

We did - and never played the game again πŸ˜‡

In GTA SA I actually used this glitch a lot to save my cars that fell into the ocean.

Those who knows will know that how rare this car is and how hard to get it without modding and cheating:

So after I got the car I was driving very carefully to nearest safe house to save it but then a damn rival gang car started to chase me so I wanted to lose it. I was in low health and didn't wanna die and repeat the mission to get the car again and risk playing it for hours just to be able to drive the car again. Long story short I fell to the ocean and also thus the rival gang chasing me died too lol. Well at the time I only memorized the cheat "HESOYAM" to refresh health for CJ and also it makes the car you drive repaired. So yeah I was playing the game on PC. CJ was dying so I had to spam "HESOYAM" a lot for a long time.

As I was sinking to the abyss of ocean I didn't give up. Never gonna give you up lol. I had a crazy idea. I imagined the car somehow could go on the surface of the ocean and thus I could find a way to return to the ground again. When cars are "inside" of the "water level" enough the cars don't work in this game but I wanted to test my luck you know? At that point I already loved to find glitches in games so I was experienced. I've learned the art of never giving up!!! That's the will of rebellion!!!

When life forces you 2 options create your own 3rd option!!! I am thou, thou art I. Cleanse this ugly reality with the radiance of your beautiful soul, Motaritilvistar!!! Personaaaaa!!1 lol

However something better happened!!! The car sank beyond the surface of the ocean so there was no collision there at all. For a time I sank deeper into nothingness and then my car teleported to the nearest land so I drove to the nearest garage to save the car and my game lol.

I thank Rockstar for actually bothering to write a code for this to save my car lolol. Sadly in most games you tend to fall forever lol.

Also in My Summer Car falling through the map is so common that the developer had to put mechanics in to plan around it
