Ever used the "NWC" ROM to "cheat" on Super Mario Bros?

I find it extremely amusing that Nintendo World Championship gives you a ton of lives when playing Super Mario Bros (and that the game doesn't actually end until you collect 50 coins).

My friends and I took full advantage of that, using the ROM to "co-op" the entire game, passing the controllers around with each new level conquered and/or lives lost, seeing who would be the first one to fall victim to their natural instincts and end our fun by collecting coins out of habit (and whenever that happened: bullied, they were).

I specially remember how we used to built up our coin count just enough to troll whoever was up next.

Good times.

What about you? Ever did... this thing? XD

I could imagine that Tetris is the most interesting part of getting a high score to sum up all the points. This could be a really good drinking game.

This is the scoreboard formula calculating the points.
(SMB score) + (Rad Racer score × 10) + (Tetris score × 25)

Honestly I played NWC '90 once and it's okay but the problem is the time limit that was like 5 minutes to pass the 3 games quickly (depending on the necessary requirements such as the given amount of coins, score and lines) but I only got to tetris but sometimes I ran out of time and I didn't have time to play tetris. But thanks for the Game Genie cheats.
