Its a great addon if you feel music is enough to elevate gameplay & especially if you enjoy Pre-Ultima Underworld RPG's/Classic Dungeon Crawlers. Very few games make good use of the Mega CD's additional power. It essentially has a built in Super FX Chip just sat disused. Many of the best games are Japanese exclusive or cancelled late in development, but I enjoy booting her up from time to time. Just a warning, you can't boot original Megadrive games through it. Although complication disks of Cartridge games exist no one (to my knowledge) has reversed engineered them to allow you to burn/load custom roms. So you'll still need a third party SD Card reader to get the best out of your system. The MegaCD does allow to change the default bios though, so you can switch the region on the fly. There isn't much point in doing so but it does bypass what little region locking exists on the Megadrive/Genesis. [ATTACH type="full" alt="Model2CD.jpg"]23385[/ATTACH] As for the 32X? Not even I could justify owning that monstrosity ☠️ I think its super interesting from a historical stand point but I can not think of a single game worth owning the console for- Oh God damn it.
