Hey, i had this game on real console!
My favorite boxing game of all times! 🌟

Wow! i didn't know there's a sequel too!
Looks promising!
Greatest Heavyweight plays better the Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing. Boxers feel like they move better. If you like Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing & Greatest Heavyweights, you'd probably also like Riddick Bowe Boxing & Chavez for the SNES. The graphics are very different, but play very identical.

For all of these games, I wish that you weren't forced to retire after boxing for so long. I'd love it if there was a hack that would get around this. If I'm not mistaken, after your 40th fight, the game forces your created boxer into retirement even if your win-loss record is 40-0.

There is a sequel using the same engine with more content and polished gameplay called Greatest Heavyweights. I'm surprised it is not available here.

Only Mercedes Moan has more belts than him :^)

Side Note: This unit also beat Tyson for the WBA Heavyweight title in 96. AND WON.
Sega really does what Nintendon't

I remember a friend of mine across the street would come over and spend the night around maybe 2003? And we'd play this and Joe Montana Football. Even when we had Gamecube, Xbox, and PS2. We'd also create a boxer and make his skin green because as far as I was concerned. If your create a X doesn't allow you to make them green or some wacky color, is it really a true create a X? Great times.

For a boxing game that is sponsored by the boxer Evander Holyfield it is not bad because playably it is like a kind of 2D boxing game and also the possibility of hitting the opponent depending on the direction attack and so also as are the distances, Graphically it is quite good for a Mega Drive/Genesis game and with a good level of detail in the sprites and as well as its animations but Musically it is not bad but it is compliant at least and the sound effects are fine for a boxing game but the learning curve can vary depending on the opponent you are facing especially because of the attributes as Power, Stamina, Speed and Defense.
