Enlarging font breaks character count

I was making a profile post and with 168 characters left and was told the character limit had been exceeded. Went away when I lowered the font size of 2 words I had previously enlarged.
 
You need to understand your text is actually in BBCode, so formatting IS going to just be in BBCode. Example say you want to BOLD something, that's 7 characters as it's actually (replace {} with []) {b}BOLD{/b}. The javascript for character count isn't accounting for that or newline spaces or anything. So it takes some finagling...
