So I have a softmodded original xbox, and there's a game with a partial english translation I'd like to try (Kikou Heidan J-Phoenix +), but I can't find any guides on how to apply the english patched "default.xbe" file from romhacking.net. All I can find is guides on modifying the original "default.xbe" of other games to force them to run at 480p/720p. Using repackinator to unpack the iso to make it playable on the xbox HDD creates a default.xbe and I've tried just replacing it with the much larger english translated version, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there anyone who knows anything about this kind of thing?

Don't you just drag and drop the files over the original game files? I actually just patched this game like a week ago when I was backing up my XBOX HDD.

I used extract-xiso to extract the .iso or .xiso rip of the original game. And then I took the folder from the translation from ROmhacking.net and overwrote the files. And then transferred that onto the xbox F:Games folder via WinSCP.

I miss my Xbox, the og Xbox was the beginning of my journey through Roms and Emulations, back in 2004, ah the memories.
