What are some enemies in video games that you rarely (if ever) fight, and maybe even actively avoid?
It can be due to difficulty, annoyance, redundancy, or simply because they're so gash darn cute you can't bear hurting them!

For me, it's the jellyfish from Elden Ring. I just liked how chill they were, and coupled with the friendly summon you gat and the little hidden tidbit about what they might be just solidified me not wanting to hurt them.

I also never like to kill chocobos in Final Fantasy games unless the game forces me to, like that one main quest in Final Fantasy 14.

There is no enemies i don't fight

I'm a complete maniac playing games, i have this immense need to kill EVERYTHING. If your game made an enemy character its because you want me to kill it, don't care the consequences, i will always kill, it's my objective, even the cute enemies, even the absurdly hard to kill enemies, even the enemies you are probably not supposed to kill at that stage.
I'm the kind of person that will grind all the sidequests without even playing the rest of the game just to be able to kill "that first boss that is supposed to be too strong to be killed in the beginning"

The Waddle Dees. They always look so absentminded and joyful just walking around, or floating away on their parasol. I try my best not to fight them if at all possible.

You don't fight Skull Face in MGS5 but then again it’d be a pretty dull fight if they didn't go the “mash button and beat the shit out of him” route.

Dual sword guys at the top of the temple in Sekiro. They're just so annoying and not really worth killing, so I just avoid them

I was kind of expecting to squish him with my armored segway, like an old man spotting a child at Food Lion.

I'll mostly fight everything unless the battles are tedious and I'm tired of fighting. Except in Super Hydlide on the Genesis, there's a hidden morality meter (you'd only know about it if you read the manual), where you're not supposed to attack the monster types that don't attack you. The lower your morality is, the less damage you do against the final boss. I didn't know that when I beat the game so it seemed impossible to beat it up until I tried just walking right into the boss's mouth and spamming the attack button and then I was able to hurt it. You take massive damage doing that but somehow it died before I did.

Any flying enemy with a melee character who has no way to close the distance or nail them to the ground!

These things are brutal in early game. They're the reason that you're better off playing Stratum 1 at night, because the Great Lynx is doable compared to this

I willingly kill the giant ones, but not the lil' guys. I'll even hold up a shield and let them wail on it because it's adorable when they try.

In all seriousness, any enemy that divides into two when attacked is one I try to avoid.

Sometimes in Skyrim Deer get randomly pissed at you and just start trying to beat the crap out of you. I really like deer irl and in Skyrim they're so weak you barely take damage so I just can't bring myself to hurt them.

I hate the Dwemer ruins in Skyrim. I don't like the layout. I don't like the central puzzle. And to stay on topic, I hate the enemies because they're boring and don't feel pain cuz they're robutz. And their loot sucks too.

Officers in some dynasty warriors games on higher difficulties, cause it’s so easy to flinch them it just feels like chopping a huge tree down…
