Emulating Demon's Souls (PS3)

Has anyone here had any first-hand experience emulating the PS3 version of Demon's Souls?

From what I could gather it seems possible nowadays, but I figured I'd poke around here if anyone has tried it out before throw myself at it myself.
Did it work well for you? How does world/character tendency work - can you manipulate it in any way or does it still require online functionality?

for world tendency you don't need to be online. Although i heard its quicker. You just need to repeatedly die in human form. There are guides to manipulate it quicker.

Worked just fine for me on RPCS3 with an i7 9750, granted.
I'd check the RPCS3 site for any preferred settings but it should run smooth provided your rig can handle it.

I've noticed it's one of the PS3 games that'll run well on less powerful hardware (basically if it's up to task for modern gaming but not a high-end rig). I even managed to connect to the Archstones private server through my Lenovo Legion gaming laptop.

Didn’t that Looking Glass boss in DS2 also feature a similar thing? He could like birth enemy players out of his shield.

Such a cool feature. Invasions are my favorite multiplayer mechanic of all time

Yes, I miss that mechanic.

As for DeS emulation, it runs great as long as you have a decent system. There are also mods available for it in Nexus.

Have honestly held on to my PS3 partially just to boot this up every once in a while, but it's difficult not to miss the community aspects, having gotten the game when it was new based off a trailer I saw (so glad I caught that random promo).

Cool to hear that there's some community servers still kicking for it!

Adding onto testimonials that the game runs fine: from my own experience it does indeed seem to work very well, with the only caveat being that you'll need to enable the 'write color buffers' setting in RPCS3's GPU subsection of the config. Simple thing to overlook.
