Seems an interesting RPG, too bad there is too much battle pics instead of pics showing the town/dungeons and stuff.

Did a little searching about the game and found out the story was drastically cut short due to the Dreamcast failing. It was supposed to be 24 volumes and they modified volumes 4-7 to accommodate the shorter story. I hope it's still good because that would really suck to wait so long just for a rushed conclusion.

They were releasing the volumes every 2 months and each game had around 4 hours of play time (vol. 1 and 2 being a couple hours longer), so it wouldn't be too bad. It would've been nice to see the whole story as initially envisioned is all.

That article is incorrect. They're confusing "volumes" with "chapters." Each CD is a volume, and these contain a number of chapters (from 2 to 3). El Dorado Gate was supposed to have 24 chapters, but ended up with 18. So, in reality, there's some content omitted, but not that significant.
