EA put microtransactions in the singleplayer modes, reduced payouts, increased xp milestones, ramped up the grind. Turning the game into a kind of a paid freemium mobile experience.

Otherwise, tecnically, the game seems to be an improvement.

This may be really the direction AAA games are going in. GTA 6 included.

That is so nice, finally EA thinking about these poor, poor shareholders. And those evil, and greedy, players that actually made the Company a success will get what is coming to them!

Graphical fidelity fans won't care and will still give EA a head as if their life on the line. It's unfortunate that the voice that can steer the industry at the right direction is a minority one.

It's basically the Zipf's law of video games. The brainless player and the brainless spender player outweight the voice of reason for EA to get away with it.

EA... Sports... College? Football?!
Man, who even buys these games?
Anyone playing that shit deserves all the fleecing that EA's got in stock...

We used to live a sane society. One where we don't have to deal with nonsense like this.

Geez, and I thought NBA 2K's "pay-to-win" "My Career" mode was bad.::sadkirby

Honestly, just play the old college football games from PS2 era and prior. They're a lot more fun, anyway.

Bog standard for EA. The worst I know of was a basketball game from 2018. NBA 2k18 I think. Want to shoot the ball correctly? Get out your credit card.

I love the title of the video. Like EA never crossed the line before. Sucks, but I am not surprised. I have not touched an EA game since Need for Speed Rivals, and that first Jedi game that copies Dark Souls. I got sick of their shit years ago and never looked back. No one should be shocked by this, and they've done so much worse or equally bad at this point. If anyone is still buying their shit, and knows about it, that is somewhat on them.

EA sports games where decent around the V and VI generation of console, after that they started to do "quality" games little by little until the online "lets sucks money" generation started for them

And yes, fans of football will pay tons of money just to get their fav players in their team

If it worked for Captain Tsubasa, they will get their money and wont stop this practice. After all, money get is a stronger sound than complains
