Translation Credits: Released by: 46 OkuMen Language: English Status: Fully Translated Patch Version: v1.1.2 Date: 12 Dec 2017 Source and details: https://46okumen.com/projects/e-v-o-the-theory-of-evolution/ The English translated PDF copy of the manual is included in the zip A more literal translation of the Japanese title would be "4.6 Billion Years Story: The Theory of Evolution" I highly recommend the emulator Neko Project 21/W for playing on Windows. It's the most feature complete emulator for the NEC PC-9801 and is in active development receiving frequent updates. Use this guide for help on how to obtain and configure the emulator. It works now! I forgot about the mouse. Thanks a lot for the tip... and for all the great PC 98 games you added.
Glad I could help, I plan to keep adding more PC-98 titles in the future. I'm just thinking it might be best to do a temporary shift of focus so that I don't flood the site with pages of PC-98 games. Rest assured when I'm done that section will have several dozen titles instead of less than 20

Did you make sure to press F12 so that the emulator captures your mouse? Could be it's not noticing your clicks because of that. If you configure everything like how the gang-fight guide said with the cpu cycle speed and stuff then it should run fine and work how it's expected. You need to make sure the arrow keys on your keyboard's numpad are being input as the arrows instead of numbers. This game is an old school PC game and uses the numpad instead of arrow keys like how Ys 1 did in the PC-88 version

I'm using Neko Project 21/W with the np21x64w app. I can't get past the intro because as soon as it's done it loops back at the beginning. Same for Rusty. How can I set the emulator right?

i was waiting for this
anyone know any good pc98 emulators?
The one I linked to in the description with a guide for setup here. That emulator is Neko Project 21/W. While some people report having a good experience using DOSBox-X for PC-98, I'm not quite sure of that one yet
