Hello.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to start collecting DVDi (DVD-PG, Interactive DVD, DVD Game) releases. I realized that this “platform” is practically not systematized. I tried to compile a list of releases, at least for my personal collection (not at an academic or preservation level). I combed through the lists and websites that I managed to find using various search engines. I compiled an Excel spreadsheet with 338 rows (+ comments). I outlined some further actions. But now I realize that I'm not getting anywhere, I'm burning out and losing interest. It would be a bit a shame to just shift+del all of this. So I'm looking for people who are interested in this or tips on where else I can post this information.

Thank you.

That seems like a wise thing to do actually. I don't have tips for you but i'd suggest you continue doing this here. You never know who would need that info in the future.

I think this type of work is super important and very interesting, but I'm not sure if I persoanlly have time to assist too much, with all the projects I'm currently working on.

If there's any particular titles you're trying to track down I might be able to lend a hand, but have you tried reaching out to any dedicated preservation groups? It may be something that's not on their radar, but could be something they'd be into jumping on board with.

As much as this forum is often people talking about the playing of video games, preservation and historical records are what drives a lot of what happens around sites like this, whether is translations, emulation improvement, or simply collecting of rare or lost titles.

I apologize, but I do not plan to continue gathering information in this area or collecting disk images.

I have uploaded the list to Google Docs and a file-sharing service (it will be available for 14 days) in case anyone is interested.

All disk dumps are only available on the Internet Archive, with a few on trackers.
