DuckStation vs ePSXe

I think everyone knows these two PlayStation emulators by now, but which one deserves the top spot on the PlayStation emulator throne? You decide.

epsxe is quite outdated at this point, its been like 10 years since the last update. duckstation seems much better

Duckstation. Duckstation as a whole is just a lot easier to deal with and being updated on the frequent.

Is ePSXe even being updated? It was a cool emulator for what it was even with its quirks and plugin shenanigans but Duckstation surpassed it ages ago.

It's like comparing ZSNES to today's emulators.

For me, it's a slightly complicated issue.
I loved ePSXe for its lightness, simplicity and intuitiveness, but it has now become obsolete.
Duckstation, on the other hand, I had trouble getting used to right from the start. It's not light at all, not intuitive enough and, in my opinion, has settings that are quite useless for a PS1 emulator.
Do I use both? Yes.
Do I love both? No.

ePSXe is a good emulator, but DuckStation is now the PlayStation emulator power. I think it's a shame that ePSXe isn't updated anymore; it had a lot of potential.

If you only wanna play PS1 games ePSXe is enough but some games doesn't work properly, but if you wanna upgrade your PS1 experience to high-level then you gotta use DuckStation for all the graphical enchantments and all it brings to the table.

Duckstation is my PS1 emulator of choice. It's so good it got PCSX2 to actually update their UI to something that looks like it was made this century.

Duckstation is way better. I have no idea why you would use ePSXe unless you're trying to do PS1 emulation on a very old computer.

Never was a huge fan of ePSXe.
Duckstation is my favourite PS1 emulator. I hope other emulators also reach the high quality standard, Ymir (Saturn) looking very promising too.

DuckStation because this PS1 emulator is quite Advanced and Optimized that it can be played even on a Low-End PC.

Damn, what a blast from the past. In the end we got both of all these into Duckstation. No stupid plugins anymore, I always hated that with ePSXe and the other emulators.

In all seriousness, Duckstation definitively, its UI feels clean, it autodetects BIOS and good luck swapping disks in ePSXe compared to Duckstation, if i didn't knew the hell that is to emulate Saturn, i would wish Yabause or Kronos to take some pages from it
