Does anyone know how to make Quake 2 to run 60Fps in Duckstation

You can overclock the ps1 cpu to 400% (settings > console > cpu emulation). Expect frame drops in areas with heavy geometry and it may make the game unstable.

Alternatively you could play the OG on DOSBox-Pure Retroarch with Win98. With a gamepad, CRT shaders, etc. There's an howto in the "guides" section here.

yeah, but I want to get achievements to Quake 2 PS1 And this is why I want to run 60Fps

Sadly there's no patch for 60FPS it seems. But the achievements supports Quake II (USA) (New Control Buttons Config) (v0.4) (Mr2).

You could try Lossless Scaling on top of Duscktation but you'll likely add some lag. So maybe keep things capped at 30 or whatever it is, try a bit of overcloking like Glimbo said, or maybe one or two frames of runahead to get the game more responsive.

i got a win 10 laptop with a nv geforce rtx 3060

or maybe you have a bad bios
i got 13 of them even 5 japanese ones

It's running at 30 fps (the games framerate). You're looking at video fps (the speed of the emulator).

Download and check Duckstation latest preview version often.
They're usually adding/integrating 60fps Cheats and Patches tailored individually for games.

The fps codes seem kind of pointless since you still need to overclock the cpu. Otherwise you'll be running 100fps in the lightweight areas and drop down to 30fps or less in the heavy areas.

I've got mine overclocked at 200%. Hardware emulation overclock goes by at least 66Mhz. Sounds ludicrous but he could safely overclock at a decent level.

Cool thanks I need to test that as well. No hardcore mode for retroachievements with the 60FPS code tho, I think.

Yeah proof here that most people cant really tell stable 30fps from real 60fps without A/B comparisons.

All you need is FPS unlocker cheat which requires overclocking, you don't need both.

I was messing around with this today, it's not a true 60 FPS solution, might introduce other problems and look a bit smeary, but I found that it looks pretty good most of the time. Looks good in simple games like MML:

The 60 FPS Hack lets you overclock at a lower level. You can do 200-250% instead of the 400% I posted before. Personally, Id go for the 60 FPS hack instead on unlocked frames hack for framerate stability. Plus, I was getting reticle flicker with uncapped frames.

The other cheat requires overclocking as well. Use other cheat without the reticle flicker or artifacts problems. So @JustCallMeConstantin use this cheat
